Professional Training Program to Arab Publishers is an initiative that was initiated by the Sharjah Book Authority in 2016 to develop the Arab publishing industry. It equips Arab publishers with the knowledge tools and skills that can enable them to stay abreast with current developments in the publishing industry in the world. The program was attended by over 300 Arab publishers in 2022 and received specialized training in the topics of distribution, digital marketing, protection of intellectual property rights, and business management.

The Sharjah Children Reading Festival is the first literary festival in the Arab world that focuses on books and young adults and praises literature, culture, and knowledge. It has transformed itself into a book fair that is more of an integrated event that enriches the minds of people who visit it with science and literature.The 14th edition of the festival was organized between May 3-14, 2023, under the topic Train Your Brain. This belongs to the constant work of Sharjah to create the awareness of children about the importance of reading, to develop skills of children and young people and present a program of comprehensive culture and education.Sharjah Children's Reading Festival was attended by over 500 prominent guests representing 60 different countries where over 1,600 workshops, panel meetings and performances were held. They were working towards increasing cognitive awareness and personal growth among the young people.
