SIBF Pricing, Billing & Participation Terms

1. PRICING & SELLING OF PUBLICATIONS

1.1 Pricing and Sales Guidelines

1. Monitoring: The pricing of all displayed products will be strictly monitored and regulated by SIBF.
2. Mandatory Discount: A mandatory 25% discount from the published price is obligatory for all products sold during the fair.
3. Currency & Conversion: SIBF determines and disseminates the official conversion rate of U.A.E Dirhams (AED) against major currencies, based on prevailing exchange rates.

5. All books showcased must bear price stickers indicating the discounted price in AED.
6. Complimentary stickers will be provided by SIBF.
7. Sticker prices must align with the official SIBF book fair catalog. In the event of a disparity, the lower price shall be applicable.
8. Intellectual Property (IP): Exhibitors must adhere to all UAE intellectual property laws, treaties, and conventions. Involvement with products that infringe upon these laws is strictly prohibited.
9. Legal Compliance: The sale of unauthorized titles is illegal and will result in immediate penalties and potential expulsion (refer to the "Violations & Penalties" section).

2. ACCOUNTING & BILLING

2.1 Payment Method: The "Tahseel" System

1. Exclusive Payment: All financial dues must be settled exclusively through the "Tahseel" electronic payment system.
2. Liability: The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) is not responsible for bank transfers or any payments made outside the approved Tahseel system. Unrecognized transfers will not be credited toward your participation.

2.2 General Financial Terms

1. Late Payment Penalty: A 10% penalty of the total amount applies if dues are settled after the opening of the exhibition, regardless of the invoice date.
2. Future Participation: Failure to comply with the stated financial terms and conditions may result in the entity being prohibited from participating in future SIBF events.
3. Exhibition Cancellation: In the event that the exhibition is cancelled for any reason, paid amounts will be credited toward future exhibitions.

3. OFFICIAL PRICE LIST (AED)

Note: Value Added Tax (VAT) is applicable to all rates listed below.

4. REFUNDS & CANCELLATION POLICY

4.1 Withdrawal and Registration Cancellation

1. Notice Period: To cancel registration or withdraw without severe penalty, an official letter must be submitted to pub.services@sharjahbookfair.com at least 30 days before the exhibition date.
2. Late Withdrawal Penalty: Failure to provide the required 30-day notice will result in an invoice being issued for the full space rent.

4.2 Refund Procedures

1. Approval: All refunds are subject to the formal approval of the Head of Finance.
2. Documentation: If a client wishes to cancel a submitted payment, the original physical receipt must be surrendered to the finance department.

5. ADHERENCE TO TERMS

SIBF reserves the right to reject future participation for any entity that ignores the financial terms and conditions listed above. Participation in the fair implies full acceptance of this pricing and billing structure.
