Terms Pertaining to the Educational Tools Section

These guidelines are designed to ensure a seamless, high-quality, and compliant presentation of educational tools throughout the fair.

1. PRODUCT STANDARDS & SAFETY

  1. Educational Focus: The primary purpose of any displayed tool must be educational, designed specifically to enhance skills rather than for purely recreational use.
  2. High-Quality Materials: All tools must be constructed using high-quality materials.
  3. Safety Requirements: Tools must not include sharp objects or components that pose a risk of injury.
  4. International Standards: All items must comply with international safety conditions and standards for children’s tools and equipment.

2. MANUFACTURING & BRANDING

  1. Country of Origin: The tool’s country of origin must align with the Exhibitor’s country.
  2. Branding: The Exhibitor’s name must be engraved or printed directly on the box. Stickers are not acceptable.

3. REPRESENTATION & POWER OF ATTORNEY

  1. Exclusive Power of Attorney: If high-quality educational tools originate from a country different from the Exhibitor’s, a unique power of attorney from the source of origin is required. This is subject to final committee approval.
  2. Agency Exclusivity: In the Arabic section, it is strictly prohibited for multiple exhibitors to hold the same power of attorney for the same educational tool.

4. SUBMISSION & APPROVAL PROCESS

  1. Sample Review: Exhibitors must submit five different samples of their educational tools to the Fair management for review.
  2. Brochure Submission: A complete brochure of all tools intended for display must be sent to the Book Fair’s official email.
  3. Committee Decision: The committee holds the absolute right to determine an Exhibitor’s participation status (participant or non-participant). This decision is final and not subject to appeal.

5. OPERATIONAL RESTRICTIONS

  1. Separation from Stationery: Educational tools must be displayed and sold independently. They should not be mixed with stationery or materials that accompany books.

Adhering to these guidelines ensures a professional and compliant environment for all SIBF participants.
